Biography

I have long held a love for artistic pursuits of all flavors. Combining photography with Web design for a valuable service to the local arts community is a perfect extension of my passion for all creative arts. My interest in producing visual media began in earnest around 1989 with junior college studies in film, photography, and art history, including crafts study such as ceramics and jewelry making. During this period of 4 years, my studies emphasized photography as I sought employment in related fields. My work was shown in gallery exhibitions as well, including a piece in the Los Angeles County Fair and a group show in the Da Gallery, Pomona, CA.

In 1994, at San Francisco State University, I continued visual and interactive design studies in the Broadcast Communications Department within the then emerging digital media curricula. Later, while finishing my BA program, I joined a small interactive and Web design firm in San Francisco that specialized in social and educational projects for numerous non-profit organizations as well as commercial clients.

My experience and knowledge of numerous digital media disciplines expanded during six years of employment as the office grew to 45 employees and I incorporated skills ranging from advanced Photoshop editing, copyediting, and graphic design for CD-ROM and large Web sites to quality control, user testing, and technical documentation for user support.

Following the “dot-com crash” in 2001, I began freelancing which has resulted in a wide variety of projects in multimedia production including Flash and Web site design, print design for flyers, brochures, and CD covers, and video editing, sound design, and score mixing for film.

Currently, I am combining my passion for multimedia and design by offering photography and DVD / Web production for clients ranging from independent film to children’s media producers as well as corporate clients and other educational media concerns.
